Glacier Wedding Photography + Video | Elly + Frankie
I use a prism for wedding photography to give it an extra special boost of romance and art. It's not "just" about capturing the wedding day, it's about looking back on these images and getting the feels. I want my people to feel the romantic wedding day when they look at their pictures. I want them to not only remember being in Glacier National Park for their wedding, but what it felt like holding each other hours before they said their vows.
Getting married in gorgeous Glacier National Park couldn't have been more perfect. The two had a small Glacier National Park wedding just in time for the fire season of 2017. Unfortunately, despite all of the location scouting I had done during the summer, the west enterance of the park was CLOSED on Elly + Frankie's wedding day. Something I've learned as a wedding photographer is that quick thinking and flexibility is so important. We found another place on the owner of Glacier Raft Company's ranch. I couldn't believe how sweet and thoughtful she was as she offered us her little place down by the river.
Glacier Raft Company was an absolutely perfect place for these two to tie the knot. Set in amongst aspens and the gorgeous hillside, Elly + Frankie couldn't have picked a better place.
I have to be honest, there's a place in my heart for same sex marriages. Love is for everyone.
Something I love about small, destination, outdoor, adventure weddings is that we can really take the time to photograph the couple on their wedding day. The best adventures aren't pulling off on the side of the road, but really diving in and finding the best of Montana nature! Sure, I wish the west entrance wasn't closed so we could've hiked Glacier for wedding pictures, but we found ourself our own perfect place to tell Elly + Frankie's love story.
