Wedding Planning Step 1

There's something you might not know about me. I've been to dozens of weddings. It's not my first rodeo and I'm going to share with you some helpful stuff. Ready? Ok.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It...

He's popped the question. You've told family and friends, but now everybody's asking: Have you set a date? Anxiety looms. You haven't even begun to think about all the details going into planning and executing that perfect wedding. The first think you can do with honey is work backwards.

Imagine for a moment there's not budgetary restrictions. No family politics. No logistical constraints. Just you, future husband and whatever you two can dream up. What do you see? Sit down with your sugar pie and both come up with your own dream list. How big is the wedding? Where is the wedding? What time of day is it? What color are the bridesmaid's dresses? What does the band sound like? Who's there? What does it smell like? What are you eating and drinking?

The list goes on and on...

Compare the priority list with your intended's. Maybe you both agree. Maybe you don't. Compromise. (HINT: this is good practice for the rest of your lives.)

This list will help you decide where you're going to park your money. You're welcome.
